PRISMA Project Scientific and Outreach Initiatives
Maule–South Pole Connection
Maule–South Pole Connection is the outreach initiative of PRISMA, which builds a bridge between Antarctic scientific research and the regional community of Maule.
Through workshops, talks at educational institutions, outreach activities, and collaboration with local organizations, the program seeks to establish a more everyday concept of Antarctica, bringing polar science closer to citizens, especially the school community.
In parallel, we aim to raise awareness about climate change, biological invasions, and the fragility of the Antarctic ecosystem.
Australian Aliens
Bilingual (Spanish/English) digital platform in development, designed to integrate and disseminate the results of PRISMA in accessible formats for different audiences.
It will include interactive invasion risk maps, candidate species databases, educational resources, and citizen science monitoring tools.
Addressed to the scientific community, decision-makers, logistics operators, and the general public, the platform will be built progressively as the project advances and will be available before the end of PRISMA.
